Cookie policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

Deal & Roll saves a few small items in your browser so the games work, such as your display name and your seat at a table. We add one analytics item, a random visitor id, only if you choose "Accept all". We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and you can change your choice at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer.

How we use browser storage

Cookies are small files that websites save in your browser. Deal & Roll does not set classic cookies. Instead, it uses two similar browser features:

  • Local storage, which keeps an item until it is deleted, even after you close the browser.
  • Session storage, which keeps an item only until you close the browser tab.

Privacy law treats these in the same way as cookies, so this policy covers them. The sign-in session for accounts is also kept in local storage rather than in a cookie.

Items in local and session storage stay in your browser. The site reads them in your browser, and only sends the ones described below to our servers.

Types of storage we use

Essential

Essential items are needed for the site to work or to remember choices you have made, such as your display name, your seat at a table, sound settings and your cookie choice. We set these without asking, because the site cannot provide what you asked for without them. They are not used to track you.

Analytics

Analytics items help us understand how the site is used, for example which games are played most and where players leave. We set them only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner. The data goes to our own database and is not shared with advertising or analytics companies.

If you choose "Essential only", we record only an anonymous count of page views with no identifier, and we set no analytics items.

None of these items contain your email address, chat messages or payment details. The visitor and session ids are random values that do not identify you by themselves.

Third-party cookies

We do not use advertising cookies, social media trackers or third-party analytics tools, and we do not work with ad networks. The connection services that link players (described in the privacy policy) do not set cookies in your browser through our site.

If we add a payment provider in the future, it may set its own essential cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud. We will update this policy before that happens.

Changing your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. You can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only". You can change your mind at any time by selecting "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.

If you withdraw consent, we stop recording analytics linked to a visitor id and remove the visitor id from your browser. Analytics already recorded before you withdrew consent is kept for the period set out in the privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it.

We ask for your choice again after 12 months, or sooner if the way we use storage changes.

Clearing browser storage

You can delete everything Deal & Roll has stored in your browser at any time. In most browsers, open the settings, go to privacy or site data, find dealandroll.com and choose to clear its data. Clearing "cookies and site data" also clears local and session storage.

Clearing storage will remove your display name, avatar, sound setting and cookie choice. If you are at a table, you may lose your seat. If you have an account, you will be signed out, but your account itself is not deleted. You can delete your account from your account page.

You can also block storage for the site in your browser settings, but the games will not work properly without essential items.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we add, change or remove a storage item. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date. The current version took effect on 29 September 2026.
