Play Werewolves online with friends
Wolves hide among the villagers. The app runs the night, so everyone gets to play.
- 5 to 15 players
- 20 to 45 minutes
- App is the narrator
- Bots fill empty seats
Werewolves is the classic social deduction party game, also known as Werewolf or Mafia. A few players are secretly wolves who pick a victim each night. Everyone else is the village, and by day the village argues, nominates suspects and votes to hang one. The village wins when every wolf is dead. The wolves win once they match the number of villagers left alive.
Here the app is the narrator, so nobody has to sit out running the game. It wakes the night roles in secret, announces who died at dawn and counts every vote. You can play with 5 to 15 people on their own phones, turn roles such as the Witch, Cupid or Jester on or off, and fill any empty seat with a bot that accuses, vouches and claims roles like a real player.
Why play Werewolves here

How to play Werewolves
Deal the roles
Host a table for 5 to 15 players or practise with bots. Everyone taps their card to see their role. Wolves also learn who the rest of the pack is.
Night falls
Wolves tap a victim together. The Seer checks one player, the Healer protects one, and the Witch can save or poison once each game.
Dawn
The app announces who was found dead and, by default, their role. A Hunter who dies shoots someone straight away.
Talk and nominate
Discuss in chat, speak up with a claim or accusation, and tap a player to nominate them. Press Ready to vote when you are done.
Hang or spare
Everyone alive votes at once for one player on trial, or to spare them all. Votes stay hidden until the last one is in.
Win the village
The village wins when every wolf is dead. The wolves win once they are at least as many as everyone else alive.
Tips
- Watch how people vote, not only what they say. Wolves often shield each other or pile onto an easy target.
- As the Seer, don't reveal yourself too early. The wolves will come for you next.
- As a wolf, claim a quiet role and vote with the crowd.

Werewolves questions
How do you play Werewolf online?
Everyone gets a secret role. At night the wolves choose a victim while special roles act in secret. At dawn the app announces who died. By day everyone talks, nominates suspects and votes to hang one. The village wins by killing every wolf, and the wolves win when they equal the villagers left alive.
Can I play Werewolves online with friends for free?
Yes. Werewolves on Deal & Roll is free and runs in the browser. Host a table, share the code or invite link, and friends join from their phones or computers. Nobody needs an account or an app, and the app does the narrating, so everyone can play.
How many players do you need for Werewolves?
You need 5 to 15 players. By default there is 1 wolf with 5 or 6 players, 2 with 7 to 9, 3 with 10 to 12 and 4 with 13 to 15. Bots can fill empty seats, so a group of three or four friends can still play a full game.
What roles are there?
Besides wolves and villagers there is the Seer, who checks one player a night, the Healer, who protects one, the Witch with one healing potion and one poison, the Hunter, who shoots when they die, and Cupid, who links two lovers. The Alpha Wolf fools the Seer, the Elder survives one attack, and the Jester wants to be hanged.
Do I need a narrator?
No. The app is the narrator. It wakes each night role in secret, collects their choices, announces deaths at dawn, runs the nominations and counts the votes. Nobody has to sit out, and nobody can see who is awake at night.
Can I play Werewolves alone against bots?
Yes. Choose Practice against bots and add bots until you have at least 5 players. Bots take any role, including wolf and Seer. They accuse, vouch and claim roles in the feed, and they can lie. You can set their table talk to off, quiet or chatty.
What house rules can I change?
You can choose the line-up, the number of wolves, and each role on or off. You can also decide whether wolves hunt on night 1, what the village learns when someone dies, whether a hanging needs most votes or a majority, how ties work, whether to elect a Mayor, and whether dead players see everything.
