- Bots fill empty seats
World Conquest is a territory conquest dice game for 2 to 6 players on a map of real countries. Each turn you collect armies, attack neighbouring territories by rolling dice against the defender, and move troops to guard your borders. Hold a whole continent for bonus armies, trade in card sets for more, and knock every other player off the map to win.
You can play the standard world with 45 regions or a detailed map with 64. Besides world domination, there are Capitals games, where you must hold every hidden capital, and secret missions. Fog of war, a blitz button for quick battles and a round limit let you set the game to the time you have. Bots take any empty seat.
Why play World Conquest here
- Two maps of real countries with flags: 45 or 64 regions
- World domination, Capitals or secret missions
- A Blitz button that settles a whole battle in one click
- Fog of war that hides armies away from your borders
- A round limit of 10 to 30 rounds for shorter games
- A neutral army in two-player games so the map stays contested
How to play World Conquest
Claim the map
Territories are dealt at random or drafted one at a time. Everyone then places their starting armies on their own territories.
Reinforce
At the start of your turn you get 1 army for every 3 territories (at least 3), plus bonuses for whole continents and any card sets you trade in.
Attack
Attack a neighbouring enemy territory from one with at least 2 armies. You roll up to 3 dice, the defender up to 2, and the highest dice are compared in pairs. Ties go to the defender.
Conquer
When the last defender falls, move armies in. Take at least one territory in a turn and you draw a card.
Fortify
End your turn by moving armies from one of your territories to another to guard your borders.
Win
Knock out every other player, or complete your Capitals or mission goal. With a round limit, the most territories plus continent bonuses wins.
Tips
- Go for a small continent early. South America and Oceania have few borders to hold.
- Attack with more armies than the defender has. Three dice against two wins most exchanges over time.
- Take at least one territory every turn so you keep drawing cards.

World Conquest questions
How do you play World Conquest?
Each turn has three parts. First you collect and place new armies. Then you attack neighbouring enemy territories by rolling dice, as often as you like. Finally you move armies once to strengthen a border. Take a territory and you draw a card. Knock out every other player to win the standard game.
How does attacking work?
The attacker rolls 1 to 3 dice, always at least one fewer than the armies in the attacking territory. The defender rolls up to 2. The highest dice are paired, then the second highest, and the lower die in each pair loses one army. Ties go to the defender. Blitz keeps rolling until the battle is settled.
How many players can play World Conquest?
From 2 to 6 players. With two players a neutral army takes a third of the map; it never attacks, but you have to fight through it. Bots fill any empty seats, and you can practice alone against five bots.
How long does a game of World Conquest take?
A full domination game can run 45 minutes to two and a half hours. For a shorter game, set a round limit of 10, 15, 20 or 30 rounds. When time runs out, each player scores 1 point per territory plus continent bonuses, and the highest score wins.
How do cards and continent bonuses work?
You earn a card on each turn you conquer at least one territory. Three of a kind or one of each symbol trade in for armies: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and up by default. Holding a whole continent adds a bonus each turn, from 2 for Oceania up to 7 for Asia on the standard map.
Is World Conquest free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free, and you need no account or download. Start a table, send the code or invite link, and friends join from their browser. Signing in with an email is optional and saves your results.
Can I play World Conquest on my phone?
Yes. You can drag the map, pinch or use the buttons to zoom, and tap territories to place, attack and move. Players on phones and computers can share one table, and the host can pause a long game and resume it later.
